Tromso, Norway - December 2005

It was near the winter solstice, hence the day is short (from 8:30am to 2:00pm, approximately) and dark (making life difficult for the photographer...).

Tromso is an island within a channel connecting fjords and the Artic ocean, beetwin small ranges.

A few kilometers from the city, you have sparsely spaced houses.

The main church in Tromso (no separation of church and state in Norway).

Me, in front of a (reconstructed) Sami tent inside which one could drink a favorite hot and sweet beverage (some kind of coffee with nuts).

Nice restaurants. Unfortunately, Norway is VERY expensive...

The most remarkable thing I saw in my trip: the Northern lights. They are really as spectacular as in the photograph to the left (and they move around!).
